A Response to Jenna Wortham's "How I learned to Love Snapchat"

While I see where Wortham obtained the opinion that our generation likes to talk, but dislikes the forced awkwardness of phone calls, I still disagree with her. I believe that today's generation prefers texting because it removes the confrontation aspect of speaking to each other. In a text, you can overthink what you are typing and change it multiple times until you feel like you have formulated the "perfect response". Although most times, this "perfect response" doesn't accurately reflect your true personality. Wortham also mentions that text can only convey a fraction of the emotion that humans have, which is true. To truly understand someone's personality, you must hear their tone of voice, and see their hand movements, body language, and facial expressions.
